Dr. Boja leads the precisionFDA’s biomedical competitions around omics science, as well as outreach activities in building a community of scientists around the analysis of biological datasets to inform regulatory science and advance precision medicine. Prior to joining OHI, she was a Program Director at the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomic Research, NCI, NIH, who provided scientific expertise and leadership in managing the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium program (grants, contracts, Memorandum of Understanding and Inter-agency Agreements). She was also responsible for the analytical, informatics and regulatory aspects of molecular technologies, platforms and tools via interactions with the FDA and the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. Dr. Boja has published 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals, and presented at major symposium and conferences. Prior to the NCI, she served as a Staff Scientist in the fields of structural biology, biochemistry, omics and technology in the Laboratory of Cardiac Energetics, NHLBI, NIH. She holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University (1999).
